I agree with the recline further back than normal idea. This is my new setting and agree it is better although does feel a bit strange and leaves me very exposed to whiplash if I ever get hit. I have had numerous 3 series in the past and never had problems adjusting to seats - hope it is just early settling in problem.

hey Mark
same car, same seats... for me the big differentiator was when i discovered the knobbie at the front to raise the front of the seat... with that and playing with the seat back angle i am able to get quite comfy
btw, the steering in/out&up//down is the same lever - just pull on the wheel!

Browellm + Skidster,
Pleased to report that managed today to get a much comfier position. I hadn't realised that standard spec included steering wheel reach adjustment as well as height. I pulled steering wheel out just a little, have seat on lowest height position,
reclined further back than normally would and seat angle just slightly upwards ( front to back) - much better, although does leave top of back unsupported and neck very vunerable as headrest a long way from back of head. Unfortunately seat has now developed a slight creaking from what sounds like springs!!!!

Thomas,
I have standard suspension on my car. The ride is excellent - nice compromise, not too hard , not too soft. Fortunately the last few winters have been mild with hardly any snow which is lucky as I live high up in the Yorkshire Pennines. Please post pics of your car when you get 116 alloys back on.
