SSG vs SMG

Ok anyone remember this? the SSG? Sports Sequential Gearbox. http://www.bmwclub.org.hk/news/0024.htm this is what the E60s SMG really is... even in the Z4 and E46 right now. So why are they calling it SMG?
What happened to the old SSG name?
I'm asking cause THIS I guess they're going to change names soon back to SSG and reserve SMG name for the Ms???
Anyone from gernamy read that article?

My Ride: 2008 535i: June 6th start build, complete June 17th, at NY Port July 5th, at dealer July 10th, took delivery Friday July 13- Plantimum Bronze/Natural Brown Leather/Light Poplar, Sport Package, Sport Auto, Active Steering, Premium Package, CWP & PDC. Dinan Performance Software 384hp & 421 ft/lbs.

[/quote]I re-read the interview one, the "limited to the M models" quote was an interpretation from the person hearing the interview not directly from the interview. Its in parenthesis. I think the 530 and 545 will continue to offer it, even though they have dropped it for the 525.
