I just rub the seals down with my leather conditioner once a month or when ever I condition the leather......seals stay nice and quiet.

Some tips:

Use a fiber or nylon fingernail brush to clean the flocked sealing gasket on the door. Dust and dirt can collect on the fuzzy material and cause noises when the frame flexes.

Clean all painted door-frame sections and apply a good detail spray to ensure they are spotless. I do not recommend waxing as it can transfer to the near-by gaskets and over time actually worsen the noise problem.

After cleaning them thoroughly, apply a quality rubber-protection product to all the rubber door gaskets (BUT NOT to the flocked gasket material on the top of the door frame.) I use autoglym http://www.autoglym.com/enGB/product...6VQ=HE&Range=1 but it may not be available in all countries. Look for a similar product at auto or boat supply stores.

There is a dealer service bulletin about this problem (applies to some years of the e60 model) and the remedy is the application of a special Teflon tape on the door frames.
The dealer just performed the teflon tape solution on my car, and it worked for all doors but the driver's door. This one has gotten worse,

It is rather annoying this squeel, I might add

Just got my car back from the stealership after dropping it off for creaking front doors. Could've SWORN it was the door itself (plastic on leather, or wood on plastic, etc) but all they did was lube the seals with rubber seal conditioner and the car is once again whisper quiet. Apparently this service is not included in either the free maintenance or warranty, but the SA at Arlington BMW took care of it for me at no charge.

from what i've noticed, the squeeks come from both the rubber door seals, and the rubber seal against the windows. i'm going to have to try the static guard...

Just curious as to why static guard works... does it actually lubricate the seals?

The Teflon tape works well on my car - job performed by dealer.

i tried the static guard and it doesnt work. i still get the creeking and popping coming from the windows, unless i open them a tad.

someone else mentioned to try a silcone or teflon based grease. maybe i'll try that.
