Default Squeaking from blower fan

Hey all. During our last hot spell a couple weeks ago after a long day of driving with the a/c on I took a corner and a squealing sound started coming from my blower fan motor\wheel. As I kept driving it would eventually get less and less until it was gone or I took another corner. At the time I thought it only happened when the a/c was on but the other morning it started making the same sound on a foggy morning, so I'm thinking that moisture is at the root cause of this noise. It is definitely the blower motor fan as the squealing changes pitch with changing the blower fan speed. I'm wondering, since I have read so much about clogged drains on this site, if there is a drain in there somewhere that has allowed water to build up or pool causing this noise. I have pulled apart the cabin air filter assembly's previously and removed a bunch of leaves and debris. Where is the blower fan located on a 2008 550i?

Anyone have any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks!

Replaced mine about a year ago. The directions are very good. Takes a lot of patience.

Blower motor bearings are shot. Must change out blower motor. Good idea to change blower motor control unit at the same time as it is mounted to the blower motor. Four hour project, very tedious, but definitely doable. Just be careful when prying up the wood pieces.
