Sqeeking from the wheels area

My Ride: E90 330i + E60 550i
My father has a 07 550 sport, and hes bee complaining about a sqeeking noise from the right side wheels when driving at lower speeds,accelerating or decelerating. It loud enough to hear with the windows up. Simliar to braking squeel, so I was thinking it might be the brake whiping technolgy? Anyone experience anything similar?
I took the right side wheels off, and made sure the heat shields werent toucing the rotors either...
