My Ride: 2008 M5 -- Exterior: Silverstone, Interior: Black. Fully Loaded. That just about sums it up! :-)

Hi Folks,
I just had my M5 Owner Driving Experience welcome dinner in South Carolina. I approached a BMW rep to show him the spy photos on my iPhone.
Response: A smile and he said, "You guys on these BMW forums are amazing. You guys sometimes find out about things before we do. So what do you think of the future 5-series, at least what you're able to see here?"
So I guess it *IS* the future 5-series in the photos.
Earlier today I saw a black Z6 zip around the BMW Zentrum museum parking lot before heading off on a "BMW Authorized Vehicles only" road. Looks pretty sharp. It certainly looks more sleek/lower profile and not so much like your typical SUV (or SAV!). Sorry X5 owners. I don't mean to insult anyone.

You meant X6 right? or are there plans for a Z6?

Good Catch. I meant "X6".
Word is that the Z4 manufacturing is going back to Germany for manufacturing. The X5, X6 and X3 are slated to be built in Spartanburg, South Carolina -- Part of the reason why I wasn't able to take the BMW plant tour due to re-tooling for these vehicles.
