The so call spy photo is just an E60 with some modification to the fenders.

I don't think the F10 will come out yet as facelift version is not even out. They will keep the E60 facelift for another 2-3 years before a completely new design will come out.

But the choice of engines does sounds good.

Yeah, the other images look more like a test mule than a photoshop job...

Clearly they're playing with the wheel well flares...
Hmmm... when I saw these earlier I wondered whether the sharkfin was placed differently...

Maybe just an illusion...

So why is this article talking about a "major" facelift in 2009 model year? What you are saying is what I had understood up to this point.

03 = MY 03 !!!

The launch in the US was later. You didn't get any MY03's in the US, but there was a MY03. The actual launch should have been even earlier, but due to problems the launch in Germany was pushed back.
According to Bimmerfest the E39 was 1997 thru 2003, the E60 was 2004 thru 2007+. Also check the front page of this site in the information area. 2004 was the first year of the E60.

As I remember, they were on dealer lots in the summer of '03 here in the US. Don't know if it would have been early enough for you guys to call them '03 MY or not. I was in Germany in October '03 and they were being marketed heavily - there was one permanently parked outside the hotel I stayed in, and my hotel bill came in a 5er ad folder... I kept it, it looks just like the car I own... kinda cool.
You are correct about the date the E60 was available ihn the US.I placed my order for a 545 on 10-2-03,it was manufactured on 10-10-03,and I took delivery on 11-10-03.

But it was a 2004 model. The 2007 was available in March of 2006 but its a 2007.

The model year range of the E 60 is 2004 through 2007+

I don't care if the care was available Jan 1 2003. It was a 2004 model.

Who was asking when the car was available? Im looking back at the posts.

What year was your 545? was it really a 2003 545? Interesting. Oh I guess your information says its a 2004.

The point of this is that I was commenting on the model year run on the E 60 it started with the 2004 through 2007. The article says they are coming out with a new model in 2009 which gives the E60 only a 5 year run which seems short. Then someone chimes in saying the car was available in 2003. Not a 2003.
