I have noticed that my 545i with OEM sprot suspension seems to sit a little lower than other e60's with sport suspension.

I just passed 90k, so could have some sag.. I went ahead and measured my buddy's 530i with sport pkg, and sure enough I was .5" to .75" lower!.. But I was curious to see if this is common or and uncommon thing with these cars.

I want to know what all of your Fender lip to center hub measurements are.

Please post year, model and mileage for comparison.

Great topic! I've been scratching my head about this one as well.

I'll measure my set-up tonight and post details.
I'm sure DRANGED can provide some data as well.

Could it be that the engine and transmission are heavier?

14" at all four corners here also. 05 545i w/ sports, 50k. just ordered my eibach pro, shopping around for some bilsteins...can't wait to install 'em!

chances are w/ 90k your shocks are shot, or at least nearing its useable life... just my .02.

good luck and hope this helps

545i with steptronic 3814 lbs

530i with steptronic 3494 lbs

That's quite a difference.

That is a fact.

Of course the suspension comes down a bit by the miles.

I had an E46 320Ci '99 (with some 50 k km's on it) and traded it for a two year newer 325Ci '01.

The ol' 320Ci looked so much more low, that I was almost disappointed.

I'd be very surprised if BMW used the same springs on the 530 and 545

I would imagine that's considered a wear and tear item, so most likely, no.
