Thumbs down

In ETK, there is a "Switch FTC" (Fahr Dynamic Control = Dynamic Driving Control) with different part numer for "vehicles with sequential manual gearbox" and one for "automatic gearbox" ! There is also a gear cover with the cutout for the sport-button entitled "For vehicles with automatic gearbox with sport switch" (diagram 51_5116)!

So does anyone know about Dynamic Drive for non SMG? I've not seen that option mentioned earlier.

Huh?

As far as I know... "sports button" is available only on the SMG. In steptronics you put the car in "sports mode" by slapping the gear lever to the left of "D" into "DS" mode

Dynamic Drive for non SMG? I dont think thats SMG dependent either... thats another option for the rest of the world and comes with cars with sports package in the US.

Maybe... that would be interesting... so there will be four stages of "sport" for the step? the D, DS, D w/Sport, and DS w/Sport?

Does the current 6 speed have a sport button like the E39 M5?

Oh and wheres the pic with the start stop button on the E60? is it on the press website?

That's the current capability of the 6er with the Step tranny, so very likely will be an upgrade in the 5 series soon. Something for every occasion

6-series and Z4 have Sport-button for the 6-speed auto. What it does is put the tranny in sports mode, or actually SX. Pluss it makes the trottle more responsive, and if you have Active steering it tightens up the steering a bit. Whats interesting about this, is that retrofitting it could be just switch + sw.

Oh, and "Dynamic Driving Control" and "Dynamic Drive" are different options.
