Sport button on 535i
I'm in the market for a 2008 535i but I don't see that many with sport button / paddle shifter in it. Eventually I'm going to put a new set of coilover in it along with JB4 and DCI. I would like to have the sport button option but what are the pros and cons about this feature? Are the regular transmission without the sport button, doesn't drive as good with the mods that I'm going to do? Are most of the JB4 535i owner runnin the regular transmission without the sport button?
Any feedback would be appericated....

I thought I would revive this thread, as I am currently trying to track down the info as well.
I am considering a 2008 535i but can't determine if the cobb ap will eliminate the differences between the Sport auto trans (SAT) and the steptronic without sat. I have researched the differences and would prefer the sport auto trans for it's shifting software attributes and paddles. Please could someone shed some light on how the cobb may affect either trans and if the functions of the SAT remain following the cobb ap install. This would greatly influence my 535i model pursuit! THANKS!!!
