I can testify that the 303 cleanser is a very good product. It can be hard to find - try an RV dealership, or an outdoor furniture dealership. Many use it to clean outdoor fabrics like cushions.
Another VERY IMPORTANT NOTE - when cleaning, ALWAYS BLOT - NEVER SCRUB the carpet. If you scrub or move the towel back and forth, the carpet will pill and roll up and it will never look right again. Also, make sure the stain is completely out before using any steam to clean it. The hot steam will set a stain.
Good luck - you are in for a big job. Take your time and be careful.

sorry to be off topic, but whats the big deal about saying pop? i say pop...i dont get it?
I said "pop" growing up and I thought everyone called it pop, but most of the country does not say pop. I don't think there is anything wrong with it, but funny to see it typed I guess. That being said, I don't think I have said pop for years now because I got too many weird looks saying it before (after I moved from western PA).

I think pop is a term used in the Upper Midwest. I grew up in Minnesota and we called it pop. In the other areas I have lived, i.e., Philadelphia, San Francisco, New Orleans and Houston it is called soda.

"pop" lol.. sorry.. but it sounds funny.. lol.. hope you get the soda out.. like everyone said here i would try the wet dry vac to suck out the liquid.. then clean it thoroughly and i would use the vac again.. at least twice.. you dont want it feeling sticky down the road.. soda can do that.. i have kids.. trust me.. and if you smell it alot of the cleaners in pet stores eliminate any type of smell.. as said before.. AND good ole vinegar pulls out scents as well.. good luck.,. sure you went nuts by now already

I live in Chicago so I fall into the upper midwest category. That might explain the pop thing. I have lived here all of my life so it just sounds natural to me. Soda? It just doesn't have that tastey ring to it. lol.
I have spent hours on it and I guess i may be a bit anal trying to get it back to perfect condition. I have decided to buy new floor mats which is the best solution to that problem but hte carpet itself is what is killing me. There is no more stain or spot which is awesome! that 303 cleaner stuff is amazing but damn hard to get your hands on. I was lucky enough to find it.
There still is a smell though and i am paranoid about the sticky feeling. I am going to have to wet vac the thing again after work today.
