Im having it done for $395 next week. At that price I don't mind having it.

I started my Ipod with playlists primarily and I believe I can then manage it up to 250.

Keep the playlists under 250 songs each is not hard at all.

If you keep it organized it should not be a problem.
I don't use playlists, I am always listening by album. I don't want to spend more time in iTunes than necessary, there are other things in life besides spending time calaloging the music Anyway - at bimmerfest I have read that it takes adapter about a minute to load data fro iPod and after caching it is faster than Apline or Pioneer. So maybe it is not that bad. Let us know how do you like yours.

No one said it is ,,bad``. It?s great - that has been the overall consensus. Being able to scroll through info on the Onbord Monitor makes this a very attractive option. I?ve had it since early June by the way.

Great price. You should post which dealer this is in case others need the Interface.

Well, when first iPod interface for Alpine came out 2+ years ago, I jumped on it. Sure, it allows to scroll on head unit screen using head unit controls but is is sooo slow so today I would probably opt out of it. In my wife's car I put simple charge/line out-to-aux solution where you control iPod using its controls and she much prefers it. She hates my Alpine thing. Long cable also allows someone in the back seat to be a DJ.
