After going through the hassle of dropping my car at the dealer today they've just phoned me to say 24.02 failed and they knew it would! This is after they confirmed it WOULD work... Even after I'd advised them there was a high possibility of it failing and for them to check carefully.

Not happy!

I'm also having this problem too since December. Can't understand why can't they install the version which goes into the new cars. I'm sure that will work.

Apparently, 24.00 worked, 24.01 broke it, 24.02 fixed it again. However, it would appear 24.02 doesn't always work... I'm now being told v25......

I heard that all software updates are done centrally by plugig the cars into a computer that downloads & installs the latest program

I doubt that, since some dealers still tend to have old version... so dont think it is a central computer.. They basically connect it to a PC and load the software.

I was under the impression that the software was loaded at the VPC (I believe that is what they are called) just prior to being shipped to the dealer. At least that was the way my car was handled. It came off the boat in Charleston, was shipped to the VPC in Spartanburg, SC where the software was loaded then shipped to Atlanta. I believe that way the most recent software can be loaded in a car just prior to getting to the dealer and the customer.
