I've been eyewitness to plenty of speeding, but in the States that's not enough for a conviction. The cops have to see you (or record you) doing it or it doesn't count. If you plead guilty on the other hand, that's another matter...Vlad should have kept his mouth shut.

That's true up to about 140mph. Beyond that, you really really know it. At 180mph you're going 3 miles a minute. Crazy stuff. I only did it once and for about 3 miles. I'd guesstimate that out of my last 100,000 miles driving in Germany, only about 30 miles were above 150mph.
