dude seriously? where are these forums going?
Your all wrong!!!, thats the emergency speaker, if the car is involved in a very serious accident the TCU (telematics control unit) and this speaker are switched to a separate power supply so that you can still speak to the emergency services and or BMW assist

loool ,, after you do make an accident and you die , you will receive the gate detail announcement through that speaker .( hope no one receives this announcement
