Does anyone else find it strange and/or interesting that M-B decided to completely blow off the valet concept for locking the trunk on the new S-Class cars in the USA? You can lock the glove box with the metal key but, even though there's a keyhole, you can't lock the trunk with it -- you can only open it.
It's probably a lawyer thing but if you ask me, it's stupid...

Besides, I'm not sure if it has any limitations on use like opening the trunk etc.

The bit I didn't absorb was the dummy fob in the glove box. I must look for it.
