Sound system turns by itself

My Ride: 2005 545i step, nav, sport, 166 wheels, premium sound, don't need nothin' else.
No matter how the CD/Radio is left when the car is turned off, when I restart the car later, the CD/Radio comes on. I've turned it off before engine shutdown only to have it back on after startup.
What's wrong? It's kind of annoying. Am I missing a setting? Has this problem been covered before?
Software is version 15.1.
