For a long time I would put the car in drive (D) , turn off with gear in (D), turn the key 1 hold for 25-30 seconds and you can hear a low rumble when turn key.
For some reason I would feel my active steering more responsive I think I was going crazy.

Hey guys, can anyone confirm this? I thought Turning off the car in Gear mode hurts the tranny?
And can anyone confirm that holding ONLY 25-30 sec works, not more not less?

well i counted to 40 secs yesterday (engine off) foot all the way down on Accelerator pedal, Put gear in P, turn key to position 2 (auto headlughts came) counted to 40.Turned off / back on and defiatley felt a lot smoother
Will try again with 25-30 secs today by reading the above links

sorry guys but from what i read this will only work on push button ignition?whats the steps for 530's?
Anyhow, here are the steps.
Put key in 2nd position in the ignition(Screen will turn on)
Keep gear in P position
Press fully the pedal (kick down phase all the way) for 25s.
Remove leg from pedal
remove key from ignition for 3s(this part may not be necessary, but just do it in case) Then turn car on. VOILA!!!
