One thing for the future :
If you didnt buy GAP insurance, do so on your next car.
In my case, I paid BMW approx ?220 for three years cover. If the car is a total loss during that time, the GAP insurance pays out the difference between your insurers and the price you paid for the car new. These insurances are available elsewhere. Some pay to the cost of a new car at current (not invoice as per cost when you bought it) prices to allow for inflation.
If someone totalled my car (without personal injury) I would be very happy - Id get a new car! If anyone pulls out in front of me at 35 months, dont expect me to brake
