I've had experience on the freeway where I am driving 75. Apparently that's too slow these days. Some guy from behind passes me, cuts me off and drives 60 to prove a point. It's not only childish, it's way dangerous too.

This really has little to do with the OP's situation, but one of my favorite scenerios is when I'm in the far left passing lane with no one in front of me or behind me and I'm passing a string of cars in the lane to my immediate right. Some moron (male or female) ususally jabbering on a cell phone will come flying up behind me and ride my ass, even when I'm going at a pretty good clip already. Then, as soon as I pass the string of cars and move over to the right to let Mr./Ms. Dodge Ram get wherever the hell he needs to get to so fast, he slows down and basically stays beside me. I'm thinking, "Go, go, you idiot, now's your chance!" I think some people just can't stand the idea of someone in front of them, so they tailgate. But once they have an opening they no longer feel threatened and chill out. Also, I think they fear being the lead car and getting a ticket. In other words, just your average run-of-the-mill passive-aggressive pu$$ies!

My Ride: 520d LCI, old engine, manual, black dakota, platingrau II, standard (242?) rims.
For safety reasons, keep cool. I'm in rush hour traffic daily and come across all kinds of horrible drivers. Frustrated drivers are the most dangerous ones and, unfortunately, frustration can get contagious if you let it get to you.
If someone slows to annoy me, I will just try to get out of the situation. If I can't pass, I back down and wait it out. I just repeat a couple of times that my aim is to get back to my wife and kids. And in that picture, there is no room for irresponsible responses to immature drivers.
It takes a little bit of rational imprinting, but it works for me. I never get agitated in traffic anymore.
