I've seen them from a distance, sometimes it looks like a C class, other times it looks like an S-class. Distance and angle of view have a lot to do with it's perception- but, no matter what, it's a clasy car. My friends comtemplated trading his 7 on one and went to the dealership and test-drove one.
He was very impressed with the features. He said the seats were the best he'd ever sat on, and the leather was too. Teh only gadget he really talked about was cruise control, which if it works the way he says it does, is very cool- esp. in the city. He said the cruise is able to bring the car to a full stop, then resume. I haven't seen it for myself, but he said you can set the speed (ex. 40 MPH), and the minimum following distance (Ex. 60 feet), and the car will drive itself, coming to a stop if the car in front of you stops (red light), and accelleraing back to whatever you set it to, when the car in front moves away. I'd have to see it formyself to really believe it (the pulling away from the stop part), but it sounds impressive.
Looks like between Lexus (Auto-parallel parking), Infiniti (Laser-adaptive cruise, lane departure warning), and Mercedes (distronic cruise) are going to find a way to turn their cars into KITT, one way or another.
Congrats on the new whip.. Come back and post pics when you take delivery.

congrats.
the e class is good to sit in but not driving it.
But the e is better than our e60 for now, but wait until the f10 which it should be better that the new e class.
so you might be getting a v8 F10 down the road?

Yeah probably v8 for f10 or maybe even m5 what I don't like is that bmw launch M models after 2 years of regular one. it's kinda stupid then in 2years you got facelifted.
Why not just launch m5 the same year like this ppl gonna be excited, not in 2 years it's look kinda not "dated" but not like new model too.
By the way I got e350 4matic, with night vison
wanna try new technology

Congratulations, the new E-Class is a very good car - it's a definite return to form for Mercedes. If I were in the market today, I'd say the new E has the edge over the current E60. It's getting some very positive reviews. Enjoy!

1 to 2 years sound about right.
