I posted my '04 530 on craigslist for $16 and got about 25 emails on it...got $17k and bought this white 550i from a dealer in CA. It wont be here for 2-3 weeks, but it should be worth the wait! 
Anyone ever ship a car across the US? I am using Reliable Carriers (saw their ad on HD TV, while watching the Mecum auto auction) and its about $2100 with 3 week window...seems like 3 years...

Congrats I just bought the same color combo. My car is an o8 528i. I think it is the best looking interior. Have fun. I'm jealous cause I wanted a 550 but I couldnt afford it,

Thanks for the transport feedback/pm's.
I chose DAS - I feel comfortable after speaking to them on the phone. Plus they can pick it up the earliest (fri) and the price for 10day service is 500 bucks less than my first option.
