I was informed today that Version 12 will be available week 23, which is this week. Has anyone heard this. This information came from my dealer.

Forgot to mention that I'm in Germany.

I have an appointment for monday. Dealers says that they need to keep my car for two days . This is supossed to fix: Voice Activation, Radio and Sun Roof. They are also supossed to test the Phone. I will keep everyone posted <_<

Was you car a MAR 04 build or did you take delivery in Mar 04 and had an earlier build?

Not that I can tell you what that would mean either way, but surely someone out there has a complete SW version, fixed what, when, and how matrix.

That would be pretty sweet if V.12 came out on week 23. That was the build week of my car! My dealer told me I might be able to pick it up Mon!

My Delivery was Mar 04.

You should not have a problem. I was told that all cars built after April 04 have the new version (V.12). The problem was getting it out to the Dealerships.

Hoooray!!! I have been reading all these things that are supposed to be updated in V.12. I hope it has fixed all those bugs everyone was talking about.

Either we're talking about a special s/w build just for Germany or this is completely bogus. My auto finished production on 4/21 and arrived here with version 11.2. I've seen mid-may, June, and now september as delivery dates for v12. Different markets may have their own dates but the statement that all cars made after 4/4 have v12 I think is bogus, or at least somewhat confused!. Part of all this frustration for us is that the communications technology used between BMWAG, BMWNA, and the dealer network is not even up to the level of paper cups connected together with string! It's amazing to me they are so good at car tracking. They sure do build one hell of a vehicle though!

Hopefully in a week I will be able to tell you for sure what it has as of the 23rd week.

Not really sure what version is in the cars. This is what I was told by my dealer. I was upset that all the newer car had Voice Activation working and mine was not. He stated that all the cars built after April 04 had the updated software.

They updated my software in April 04 and it did not fix the problem. They told me that V.12 would fix it. Dealer stated "that is why Voice Activation is working on the new car because they already have V.12".

My car is scheduled Monday for upgrade to V.12. I hope that all this is not bogus. <_<

Exited to see if it solves Your problem. My Voice recogn. dosn't work, and the deale has not got a clue... (He thought taht an update to 11.something would solve it, which it did not..)
