My Ride: 520d F10, Sport Auto, Black, sun protection, Oyster/Black with Anthracite, Ambient lighting.
Can anyone advise as to what each software update does, the reason I ask is that I have a slight blip in the power delivery when I accelerate afetr a period of easing off or light throttle but it only happens at 1700rpm, for example I am coming up to a bend, ease off in advance and as I apply the power to come out of the bend and if the revs are at 1700rpm I will get a slight blip in the power delivery, if I had done the same thing but the revs were at 1500 rpm at the point of accelerating out it would be fine. The software on my car is E060-07-09-530. My car is a March 08 520d 177.
Thanks

Had the car from new and it started doing it at about 14k miles, I think.

BMW are constantly re-working the engine management software to ensure the engines run at their optimum. A lot of the changes I see between the updates are emission controls such as EGR control, particle filter regeneration process, boost pressure, fuelling and on the newer LCI cars the efficient dynamics stop/start feature.
All these maps can be adjusted by the software engineers at BMW to resolve running issues. The only way to check your car is to compare the old map and the new updated map. There seems to be a issue with the efficient dynamics engine, 177bhp on higher mileage cars and a software update seems to resolve the running issues.

Thanks chipper, my dealer is saying no software updates to cover the problem with my car, how do I find out? I have listed my software version in my first post if that helps.
