You do realize that, in spite of what you see on TV, California is an extremely diverse state. Within its 250 miles of width and 770 miles of length lies some of the most beautiful scenic drives anywhere, with plenty of alpine twisties. Within LA county lies the aforementioned Angeles Crest Hwy. US 1 highway heading for Big Sur is another great drive. Tioga Pass is beautiful, Shasta-Trinity is amazing, and most areas up toward the Oregon border is worthy of the best postcards (and of the Ultimate Driving Machine).

and it made me THAT much more happy with my e60. It felt so cramped and small in there. I'm not a big guy either haha. Don't get me wrong, it is a fun car to be driving around (sport package) but I'm glad that I got the E60. More roomier and I have the MT for the times when I just want to go from 6th to 3rd
To think I almost ordered a 335 coupe! That is all![Big Grin](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/biggrin.gif)

3 series 4 doors imo are worthless. sorry to anyone who owns them, but WHY are you getting a four door thats tiny? Makes no sense. 335i coupe is a different monster than a 328i. 335 coupes are AWESOME!

I had a 328xi one time as a loaner and I definitely agree with the OP. The size trade-offs weren't met with better handling.
THEN I got a 335i as a loaner, and holy cow - what a rocket. Suddenly the size stopped bothering me. What a car. The RWD handling also helped quite a bit - the 4WD car felt really dull through the steering wheel.

The interior size is mostly in your head and how you feel.
Before getting my E60, I drove a Toyota Sequoia SUV and this truck was roomy.
Very comfortable and a great vehicle for long trips. When I first sat in my E60 I felt cramp and closed in and until a few days later I felt comfortable again.
I sat in a 3 series a few weeks ago and I felt cramped and closed in in that car too, but I'm pretty sure after a few days of driving it I would adjust.
I guess to a certain degree, you just get used to the interior space.

Yeah, I had a '09 328 yesterday for a loaner and I hated the car.... The dealership called me because they had to special order a part and asked if I wanted to leave my car overnight....I couldn't take the 328 anymore and told them that I wanted my car back and would bring it back another time to get the work done...that's how much I hated it.
