I know the pump is made in Italy, I already found an employee of Denso/Magneti Marelli.
I have to send him what I read on the label and will see if he will be able to find one.
Recently I saw an F430 with the rear bumper and I noticed the same pump, just a little bigger![Tongue](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/tongue.gif)

$290 plus shipping

PS Just for the heck of it, I searched realoem for e46 m3 smg pump and firstly, they don't sell the pump only(they sell pump and the accumulator) and it listed as $1900.
Damn M parts

Here are rounded numbers for the cost to replace the SMP pump from a non-dealer repair shop. Located in Kansas if that matters....perhaps cheaper than east coast / west coast shops.
SMG Pump Repair Kit - $340
ABS Relay - $25
Labor - $400
Tax - $60
Total - $825

Back to the shop tomorrow. I sure hope I didn't pay $800 to fix something that wasn't broke. It did work for two months without issue though. I'll follow up again.

WOW it happend again?
One thing I'm considering is that, maybe SMG is such a rare that indy shops don't have enough experience with it. There could be small neglegence/mistakes
can end up breakage. Good luck and keep us updated.

Anyway, for those of us with SMG's the local shop indicated $1100 for parts and $300 for labor on the slave cylinder. Just for grins, the slave cylinder part for a non-smg, about $75.
If anything else turns up, I'll update. Hope the rest of you don't suffer the same trouble. I have about 78,000 now on my 2005 530i SMG.

Problem found - Slave cylinder has now gone bad too. Now that the pump is actually pumping again (with the correct amount of fluid / pressure), the slave cylinder has apparently failed. In fact, when I was leaving my garage I noticed a large amount of fluid on the floor as well. I've also noticed some shuddering again and it could be that there is a problem with the clutch as well or possibly leaked fluid on the clutch. If that's the case, I could be looking at a repair job there too for over $1000. Fun stuff.

Total cost with install and tax was $1500.
Hope this does not become a regular thing for those of you with SMG cars.
