I put up a video of the problem. I believe its the clutch.

After revving in reverse and first for a while it will finally start picking up and move. The shop I took it to didnt know what was wrong.

Thanks y'all!

Sorry I don't know much about the SMG. Wish i could help. Maybe i can speculate if you give some history of vehicle + transmission (service etc)

Recently I had the thermometer replaced. The car was in limp mode and the shop told me they had it disabled.

Ok so is the problem fixed? I am confused. Safe mode will keep car in 3rd gear and make the car feel like it hardly moves until you reach 3rd gear RPMs. Then it will make it feel powerful after you exceed normal 3rd gear shifting RPM. They had what disabled? The transmission?
if still a problem, go to the car and press the gas pedal to the floor and turn the car to ACC (position 2 but do not start car) count 30 seconds and remove foot and key and count 20 seconds.
Try to start car and drive. See how it works out.
