SMG Owners have you tried....
#1
Brake with your left feet, gas with your right.
Rev your engine up to 4500 in neutral....
Release the brakes and pop it into D and gun it. (Have 2 seconds to freely go from N to D when you let up on the brake)
This way you don't have to do a hard launch with the launch assist and wait for your engine to rev up and then close the clutch while the car you are racing gets a 1/2 second head start....
I am driving a demo 550i from my dealer while getting the aero kit installed so i decided to screw around and found out that the 550i SMG can be just as real-life fun as manual...
If you try this on your own car... becareful not to gun it too late or you will bog down like like conventional manual trannys.
Have fun!

I'm itching for a loner... I've never done anything bad wiht a loner yet... I always thought about it but the tire squeel will attract too much attention I think. Plus they're always non-sport 325s... cant do too much...

My guess is that I've bought 4 cars in 4 years from him, he was more than happy to give me a 550 demo to drive. it had 4K miles on it.

My Ride: 04 545i Silver on tan
Options? Everything +
WOW, that is a good way to blow the tranny. Why not just power brake it? Reving a car in neutral and throwing it into D is a good way to throw a tranny, or atleast take about 20k off its life.
