Having issue with SMG going into first or reverse and going. Usually first thing in the morning of after being driven for a while. Only ever happens from a stop or coming to a stop it will downshift too far into neutral. Highway driving is great but stop and go can be a pain. Indy say it is a computer issue. Anyone have any similar experiences?

Are you saying that the computer is shifting you into neutral when coming to a stop? i.e. 3>2>1>N?

Exactly, you can usually hear it go click when it drops past 1 into N. No transmission fault here just put it back in 1 and go. When it slips into 1 upon acceleration the computer chimes in with a fault. Shift to N and back to 1 and it usually goes but sometimes it will happen 2 or 3 times before it goes.

I never heard of a smg having that type of problem before. The worst I have experienced is the computer loading a bit slow when shifting from 1 to R too fast.
