And who would have ever thought to compare 545i and m5? the m5 is in a DIFFERENT CLASS
Watch me!
I think shifting in non sport mode on the 545 is like S1 on the M5 and Sport Mode is like S5. I also think the suspension is like the M5 on EDC setting 2. My M sport front bumper is almost like the M5s front. The drive is almsot the same...

M5 cannot compare to 545's torque at 3500rpm
You cant compare that. you have to compare peak TQ... which is like 383 for the M5 and only 330 for the 545

20 lt/100 km in the highway and 45 lt/100 km in the city and 300 km of autonomy .. For what ? Because she goes a 25% more than 545i/550i ?
Bah ...
This is absolutely the best, after DSG :

(05.00 and after)
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=75...0681&q=545i
Similar speed shifting .
Look how fast is 545i stock :
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2...6796&q=545i
Gives *2* seconds to a *remapped* 535d, on the 0-200 kmh .
The M5 ... it's not so exciting like you believe .

LOL, M5, in P400 mode, is only a big (slow) piece of iron .

You didn't provide proof for what you said about the gearbox on the m5, you didn't provide proof on the last statement also. Gives what seconds to a remaped 535d? You must be joking. A remaped 535d will walk away from a standard 545i. I've seen with my own eyes how a stock 645i stack up to my stock 535d.
Also did you notice that the gearbox on that last clip is a steptronic?
THE m5 isn't so exciting?! YOU MUST BE JOKING. Go drive it. And if you did drive it tell me what it felt when you climbed in your 545...almos the same huh?!
20lt/100km on the highway and 45lt/100km in the city? Where did you get those numbers? 45? Let's chat a lil more maybe you'll conclude it will eat 60lt/100km.

A friend with remapped 535d does over 19s in 0-200, REMAPPED 535d, while Andy's 545i is 18s .
Stop drinking, please!
Or drink when tou don't have a PC near you .
Also did you notice that the gearbox on that last clip is a steptronic?
15 HP in the 0-200 can be important .

You know, I on Sunday drive F430 and Scaglietti ...
Go drive it.

A member of this forum (who owns an M5) told us that he do 180 km with a full .
180/70 = 3 ? Nono, LESS than 3 .
That member that has as avatar michael schumacher .

Darling, did you notice that when you do 0-200 you use the engine and not the gear, to accelerate ?
But the question will have early an answer : let me change tyres and after I will go intentionally on highway to make a 0-200 test (with clip) .
After you must do the same and at the end we will see WHO will laugh .
