I think I understand what your saying....with SMG there are 2 extremes and very little in the middle. SMG is lazy off the line (due to the clutch needing to engage first) specially if you just give it low to medium throttle input...you'll get beat by the girl in a Kia Rio every time! But if you have it in "Sport Mode", dissengage "Traction Control", engage "Launch Control"...look out! You are going for the ride of your life!!!

Check the owners manual for exact instructions or do a search in the search section of this forum.
You basicaly hold the DTC button down for several seconds, press the sport button, and put the gear shift lever in D1...
