I decided to give the auto mode in my 545 and was a little disappointed. It seemed to shift like a drunk fish! The timing was terrible and had me in 4 at 40 mph. Good thing I love the manual mode.

Might have to do that soon. Trying software update first. It will drop past 1 into N when slowing down or drop on acceleration into neutral

you don't have to spend 3K, it can be done under 1500... take it to some good indy shop. The pump cost less then $400.

Nice to hear. My indy guy is a BMW certified master that left the stealer to start his own shop.

yeah from my experience NEVER take the car to the dealer if you need your clutch replaced. They tried to convince me to change the rest of the SMG parts because supposedly they were failing one by one, until i decided to remove the car from there and take it to an indy shop(motorcepts) and all i needed was a new clutch and flywheel.. payed around $2500 for it

Can you give me a little more info about Quaife? Which Quaife part am I looking for / is it a new SMG computer tune? And will it 'smooth' the shifts like a dinan flywheel, or just make shifts faster?
