So not only do I not have new AA vid, but the old links are not working either. Sorry.
I'll see if I can get it working as well as take new vid.

If I could only upload vid here, none of this would get lost.
realty, I can't get your vrooooooom! to work any more, either.

That's odd. I still get the vroooom but with no still photos.
I can't get the AA vid from these links.
They are sitting on one of my harddrives somewhere.
I'll have to dig them up.

Anyone figure out how to post vid on this board yet??

Assuming you have an SMG car, push and hold the DTC button for more than three seconds. Left foot on brake, right foot depressing the accelerator to the floor- take left foot off brake and WWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeee........!!!

Disabling DTC/DSC first, then engaging Sport then mashing the throttle is the trick.
Brake has nothing to do with it. Could that be why you are having SMG tranny issues?? My suspicion is that brake-torquing ans SMG is VERY bad - it is not like an automatic.

So with AA, can you actually control WHEN the car launches, or does it just launch after you've mashed the gas AND it's gotten to 4000 rpm?

I'm not suggesting that I or any upstanding member of this board would do this... BUT if you were racing an opponent, say... at a light, how could you launch as soon as the light changed? It seems like you would always lag behind at launch by 2 seconds or so waiting for the revs to get to 4000 and then the clutch gets dumped.

I tried another browser and got your vrooooom pictures and sound. Where Opera wouldn't pull it in, IE did.

Oh, so you're the one that uses opera. There are only one or two that use Opera that access my site. Now I know who one is.

That was exactly my point. You really can't. I guess you just need to do it enough times to get a feel for the lag time (and know your traffic light patterns too). Also, hope you havbe good traction and sticky tires or it's a one-wheel burn-out.

Works with Mozilla. I asked several question above. One was directed to you. Any thoughts on either?

Isn't brake torquing very bad for a Step too?
Sort of, but not anywhere as bad as doing it with a manual.

(Was there another one that I missed?)

Brake torquing with a manual? Why would one do that? Burn out? Someone mentioned that brake torquing wouldn't be good with an SMG though. Do you think brake torquing is sort of OK with a Step? Up to what RPM? And, I asked if you have tried your G-meter using AA, and if your G-meter is a G-Tech.

Can you control it with the rpms? If the car will not launch until 4000, can you hold the accelerator at say 3500 until you are ready to launch, then just grab the last 500 rpms quickly and launch?

Nope, it won't work that way. It will only go into launch mode if you hold the gas pedal against the kick-down switch. As soon as you let up on the gas, the mode is cancelled...
