Crap... I have the same problem! I've got '06 530i and my car has this random vibration and I feel it in the steering and the floor... so you guys think it's (1) the HPFP; or (2) idle value set too low?

Could my symptoms be the same solution? And if so, how much would I be looking at to fix this problem? My car has done 40,390miles! Please help!! Thanks guys!

I fixed all after dealer cleaned Adjuster unit; IDLE REGULATING VALVE and Throttle. My idle is 660rpm

Does this also apply for when the engine is just started and cold? Mine vibrates only when turning on the engine and goes away after a few minutes.

My 08 550i has the same problem...I took the car to the dealer and the SA told me that the ethanol level in my engine was 18%...switched the gas over from Sunoco to Shell for about a month now and I still feel the vibration. I noticed that it does it more when the AC is on...

I would love to see the invoice so that I can tell my SA what exactly to look for

Stealer help to clean up # 1; 7 and 8. Charge $100 US labor for 3 hours work time.

Finally, the dealer found that there were misfires from cylinder #3. He replaced spark plugs and swaped coils between cylinders and now it is all OK.
