Smacked My E60
So this afternoon i got into a little fender bender. Of course im fully insured. I have a 2008 Alpine White 550i with Mtech package. Im hoping they total the car but i also kinda would miss her. So i been looking at parts to rebuild the front end. Most of the damage was cosmetic like ill need basically a new front bumper and two fenders and a new hood. Radiator and fans. I think this was the extent of the damage as it didnt see any damage beyond the fan compartment. But im no mechanic....
So i was figuring with insurance and a little out of pocket,
I might aswell do some upgrades to the body. I was thinking aftermarket Hood. Was looking at some VIS hoods, but not decided. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions. Im not to much into the carbon fiber look, i know or ive seen most of the hoods are CF but i like my alpine white with black interior. So even if could find a hood that i do like it most likely will be CF and ill just have it painted.
Fenders- i was thinking possibly i could upgrade to m5 fenders but not sure. Opinions?
Front bumper is where im kinda stuck. There are many out there and brands just so undecided. Id also like some opinions on this aswell.
Thanks guys for helping me rebuild my chariot.

You do realize that you're going to have to post pictures of the damage, right?
On a serious note, sorry to hear about your accident. Hope everyone is okay.

The age of your car and its current value and from my experience would say its a total loss. Front ends if u don't know what u are looking at always is cosmetic untill u have uneven tire wear or hear some odd noise. I have even seen roofs slightly bent from minor front end. The frame rails need to be checked and squared. With parts and labor it should be salvaged but also depends on your insurance company. Sometimes if u talk to the appraiser and tell him u don't feel comfortable repairing this car etc etc they will salvage to for u.

An insurance company will not deem a car a total loss solely because you don't feel comfortable having the car repaired. If the economics make sense, and it can be repaired properly, it's getting repaired.
Don't take this the wrong way, but for some reason bodywork threads in every forum I have been on have more misinformation in them than all the others combined.
OP, hope all is well with the car. I'd stick with the M Technic stuff if it were me. M5 fenders on non-M5s just doesn't float my boat, but that's just me.

Couldn't have said it better myself.
I am an insurance appraiser. There is no 'pulling and squaring' the front of an E60, as it is all bonded and riveted structural aluminum. If something in the front of an E60 is damaged, it gets replaced. period. the end. that's why estimated repair costs on these cars escalate north of 15K very, very quickly.
