I have not had it happen since upgrading to 17.1, but to be honest, I am not sure it's gone since it was difficult to reproduce. It's possible your dealer screwed up the upgrade and you really don't have all the modules at the right level. So you might want to have them (or another dealer) confirm that you are at the right version level.

How many systems does that dealer need to "upgrade". I experienced the transmission slam last week and today I'm getting my software upgraded to try to resolve another problems, just wondering if the slam problem will be fixed with my upgrade today?

There are over 20 (not sure of the number) processors in the car. Each has its own software set. The tech applying the upgrade can install them selectively, but if there are interdependencies others will have to be upgraded also. All kinds of things can go wrong either due to human or computer error. My upgrade to 16.3 took three tries before they were done. The upgrade to 17.1 went real fast since I think it was only the ECU that required upgrade. If it still happens after this attempt, I'd take my car to another dealer.

It is a good idea to go to another dealer if your current dealer don't satisfy your needs... but the problem is ?? here in UAE we have only 2 dealers and the second one is far from my home ????

I am busy these days but I have to take an appointment to find out whether they upgraded my software or not ?? any way even they didn't upgraded they wont tell me that ??
