Go track down quad_m while you are in FL and take some pics.
I Googled the distance and it's too far of a drive

I saw an almost undisguised white F01 (new 7 series) on Saturday at Zuma Beach. It only had some black tape covering the horizontal line around the beltline and some other areas but it was otherwise undisguised. This is the extent of "camouflage" that BMW uses on their pre-production prototypes starting right around the time the official pictures are released up 'till the time it "officially" goes into production......I've seen it before with the X6, the E60, etc.. It was parked on PCH and for all I know it could have been there for hours, but unfortunately I only saw it when we were driving away. Had I known it was there I would have gone and taken a closer look and would have taken some pictures before we left.

When I saw it we were looking at it in a slightly upward angle as the parking lot at Zuma (where we were driving) is at a lower level than PCH (where the F01 was parked). From the brief few seconds that I saw it the F01 looked better than the pictures, but for some reason it looked small. Even my wife commented that it looks small and could it be the next 5er instead of the 7.............but it can't be the F10 5er as it is WAY too early for those pre-production prototypes to be at such an "undisguised" state with just a couple of black tapes on it.......besides, the tail lights were the same as what we've seen in the official pictures of the F01. So I think it must have been an optical illusion caused by the black tapes or the low angle that we were looking from which made it look smaller than you would expect.

I saw a Space Gray (I think) 545i, with 20" staggered wheels. Appeared to have been lowered, with tinted windows -- driving North on I35W. Anyone on this forum?

I didn't know where else to put this, so here it is. This was parked in the Penguins players' lot...saw it after the game on Saturday and had to snap a pic (if you want to call that a game)...3 series sneaking in behind it too:

No pic, but I rolled with a black 2008 LCI M5 last night in Dallas, TX --
from I35E heading south to George Bush (east). It had Washington plates.

Driver was very courteous, allowing me to get in front of him several
times. I was in a rush to pick-up some Indian food for dinner. The driver
was pretty gentle on the gas pedal.

I ended up exiting Trinity Mills off George Bush.
