Side rails making a noise

Guys,

I had my 07' OEM 550i side rails switched out for 07' OEM M5 rails. They only clip on, not screw. When the body of the car flexes (goes over a bump or turns) at low speads, you can hear a creaking noise like walking on an old wood floor in an old house. Sounds like a friction noise. Has anyone ever experienced this? We are at a loss, the body shop that installed it has loosened them and retightened them. The fit is perfect OEM, but the noise persists. Any ideas?

What rails are you talking about? Do you mean door seals?

Maybe not the door seals...I opened the pdf that you sent...not those. I'm talking about the color matched plastic side panels running down the side of the car under the door.

You're talking about the side skirts....I think. If you are, there is about 12-14 hex or torx screws and 8 male/female clips holding each one of them on. Not sure what would cause them to creak. Perhaps not secured properly?

You need to photograph the area and point to it so that an exact diagnosis of the problem can be determined.

Yes I meant the side skirts, but honestly...when I open the pdf that was sent, this sounds like my symptoms exactly! So maybe all this time I thought it was the side skirts, when it was maybe this issue. I'm going to take it to the dealer along with this bulletin to see if this is what it is. Where did you get this bulletin from?

Are the original clips still being used? May need to replace them with brand new ones for a "tighter fit".

Brand new clips came with the M5 side rails, that's what was used.
