hey guys, i have 05 520i, and is euro specs. when i put the mirror switch to passenger side, it doesnt tilt. is it possible that I DONT HAVE IT.I thought it was a standard thing.

You have to set the switch to the DRIVER'S side in order for it to tilt.

Hi guys,
Had same problem in my '00 328i. Had mirror mechanism changed once or twice to no avail. Just don't use that function anymore as it frustrates me. Guess BMW hasn't figured out how to solve problem yet! Shouldn't happen in this class of vehicle. Doesn't in my wife's Lexus!

just tried it,doesnt work, u sure EVERY E60 has it? is there anyone that can confirm that it is a STANDARD IN ALL E60s

Sometimes my passenger side mirror make a grinding sound when returning to the original position. Fortunately, it sounds similar to the Cyberdyne Systems Model T-101 when it was damaged at the end of Terminator I, so it doesnt bother me that much.
I find it mostly makes the sound in the morning. Mostly.
