okok..lets stop talking about the design..we are repeating the ame thing over and over like in other forums .
btw..did anyone in the US who got the car recently try the mp3 compatibility? im so curious with the rumors..i heard that since production january 2004, the cd player can play "mp3 data" files. ( i have a reason to believe it since 2005 S class will surely have that ability).

I am also curious about the Mp3 thing. Guess we're going to have to wait and see. According to what I read on Roadfly, it's "No" according to BMW NA. See the quote below from that message thread:
"I called BMWNA Customer Service a few days ago and was told that MP3s will not play, however, a dealer installed Aux. Input will be made available in the future that will accept MP3 players such as the iPod."
Although, others seem to think they will play with the Professional radio set up.
Where did you read that MP3s will play after Jan. production?

I hear your point about the warranty; but it sure would be nice to (a) get rid of the USA lawyer warning and ( have the screen you want be the first and only one to come up when you start the car -- for example, the FM radio presets as the default screen.
Cheers--
