My software version is about CIP 10.0 or less because CIP 10.0 has the Target data Status E060-03-12-525 and mine is E60 03-12-500.
My car is an E60 520i from Oct 2003. No mods yet because i just bought it for about 8 months and i had to deal with other thing more important (moving to another house) and so i did not have time to do something.
On the car everything works fine(sort of... but i will open another post for that)... that's why i am asking if i should have an update for the software. i think the cip now is about 31 ... so i am way behind.
Would i get something from an software update or i would just pay the dealer in vain?
Thank you for any answer.

I'm no expert, but I think if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I've heard some of the upgrades may potentially bring out some gremlins you never had. Especially if you don't have NAV, there should be no noticeable improvements, if everything works well, now.
