Should I trade an e60 for e39 M5?

I comtemplated this same issue not too long ago, but in the end I didn't act fast enough and the e39 m5 sold.

That's a tough choice, but personally I'd stick with the e60.

I would do it IF it's a straight trade and you don't have to finance any portion of it. The E39 M5 is a great car, but I would not want to take on payments to get a 7 yr old car, just my .02

Sure, but the e60's are pure sex! keep the E60 save up for teh E60 M! (if i can find a 6mt M in the low 30's i'll be getting one i just don't want SMG!)

Not really. There isn't a gulf in performance, there's only a marginal difference in engine output (360 vs 394), barely any difference in torque and the E39 M5 is actually heavier than the E60 550i...
