My battery was replaced under warranty. The car has to be jump started more than a few times. I was stationed in Hawaii and my wife has to call BMW Assist to
have the car towed to the dealership. They put new battery, no questions asked. Also the car was not driven for 1-2 weeks most of the time. Good luck with your
situation. I hope the problem get resolved by another dealer.

well, i am kinda stuck here since if the battery is not changed in my current dealership, they gonna charge me for inspection fee since its not under warranty. i have to pay 1 hour of labour which is 100 bucks something so they can release my car.. even though in the case other dealership agrees to replace it under warranty

Just get off the phone with bmw customer service. At first they insisted not to replace the battery under warranty, then I pushed hard and saying at this forum ppl get replacement of the battery even travel less mileage ( yay, e60.net power !!!!) so right now, they are calling the dealership to find out what's wrong with car.

I will keep u guys updated !

I had the "Increased Battery Discharge" error about once or twice a week. My car always started but I still got the error message and my MPG, Time and some other stuff was always erased. They charged my battery and told me I didn't drive enough and I should buy a battery tender. I told them no thanks and left. When I got the error again I immediately made another appointment and told them I would be back every time until they fixed it. They gave me a new battery under warranty and I haven't had the problem since.

That is BS if they say it is your fault because you don't drive enough. My 1973 Pinto starts every time even if I leave it sitting for a month so our $60,000+ cars should not get dead batteries for not driving enough or letting them sit for a week while we are out of town. If I ever have to plug my car into the power socket it better not consume gas. End of story. BMW needs to fix this COMMON problem and quit trying to blame it on our "unsatisfactory driving patterns" or whatever they call it.

exactly, say if you have the car checked there, and decided to not buy their crazy priced battery, they still charge you for the labour to inspect the battery..
