LOL his post is counter intuitive...Compairing E500 to 545 then he clearly says "I have a 2004 E500 as well, its a V8, it pulls quick, but its not as quick as the 535"

IMMMMMMMMMMMMMM LOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSST

Not really. I suspect his point, whilst admittedly somewhat obfuscated, is that it's perfectly possible for a car from manufacturer A to be competitively positioned against a car from manufacturer B yet be very different in terms of performance. He's talking about comparative model hierarchy. The Audi A6 4.2, for example, is competitively positioned directly against the 550i but is considerably slower than both the 550 and also the mid-range E60 model in the 535. Same with the E500 (which was the high end E Class until the E550 was released) which was clearly a model peer with the 545/550 but is also slower than the 535.

Man, you have his lingo down. You should try communicating with him. Maybe he will tell us where his space ship is.

I meant.

The older mercs are not as...powerful.

the one I have is a 2004, 5.0 V8, with 302hp, 0-60 in 6.7 seconds,

the new mercs, however are pretty strong.

Yeah, I just looked up the E550 0-60 and it's 5.4 or so. I know my car's done 0-60 in just a little over 5 and not the mid 5's like claimed. So I think my 535 would def. beat the E550 in a straight line. And I've been doing that in D and not DS, as I just started experimented with DS the past couple of days but haven't pushed it too much.
