My Ride: 2007 BMW 530i
Default Several Error Codes After Panic Alarm Please Help!

Okay, I will be the first to admit that I have no clue what I知 doing. I bought a 2007 BMW 530i a couple weeks ago and I知 still very new to the car. I had zero issues driving it today, and after I engaged the panic alarm using the key fob (just trying to figure out how it works) I put the fob in the ignition, and I now have every malfunction you can think of. ABS malfunction, transmission malfunction, dynamic drive malfunction, steering wheel lock, passenger restraint system malfunction, and the car will not start. Please tell me this is just a little glitch with an easy fix. This is the only car I have and I知 at a loss.

Unplug the negative cable for 15 mins that should get you going or if you have a charger charge the battery once you reconnect it. I would take the battery to Advance Auto or anther store and have it tested. The battery might be on its last leg.

Well, turns out my gear shift had pretty much snapped clean off. I pulled it out with little to no effort. Don稚 ask me how this happened, someone thought putting an M series shifter in a 530i was a good idea. Anyway, what am I looking at to install a new one?
