Just wondering if anyone has tapped their ball joints for grease fittings? Good idea or no?

Ball joints on BMW control arms are not serviceable. Replacement of the control arm is the only option, as far as I know.

Not looking to change out the ball joint. Just wondering if its a good idea or not to tap them for grease fittings so they can be re-greased and in return last longer.

The ball joins [on E60] are not designed/intended for grease fitting. They are factory sealed with grease inside. If the boot is torn, you'll have to replace.

IMHO, it's not worth spending time/money/energy on trying to alter the ball joints to fit a grease fitting.
