Hi guys, well driving to work today the Srvice Engine gage went on, i only have 2500 miles on the car, Does anyone know when the first service is??? Is it at 2500 miles or is this a glitch??

It's a glitch. Take it to the dealer to reset.

Tuga is right. My friend had the same problem. Resetting should solve it.

If you reset it, should you be getting your oil service 2500 miles earlier than indicated by the computer?

How can i reset it? or do i have to take it in.....such a !@#$%^ hassle this car is sometimes.

Take it to the dealer. It's very fast to take care.
Just a connection in the OBD to the dealer computer and a reset command.

The service engine soon problem is known by BMW and the most recent SW update (CIP 11.0) has several fixes related to this problem.

...The problem is that sometimes when you update for the latest software version you get most things solved and improved and others start working not so good as before....
Believe me.
My 730d E65 went today for software update (four times since 06/03) and only tomorrow will be back home.
And i can tell you that this was a necessary operation because in the last update two months ago the updated software (last version available at the time) turned to be worst than the previous one (auto gearbox and telephone)....
