I don't think this procedure would be covered by warranty unless you had a leak. But you'd think they would rather do this easy fix instead of having to repair/replace a bunch of expensive electronics under warranty. Maybe phone, give them the SIB# and see what they say. You will probably have to pay to get it done. Or do it yourself.

Finally got around to doing this. I placed the PDC where BMW suggests and the MPM right next to it using double sided tape. I tried to route the wires as they suggest as well. You have to separate some of the taped strands to make the wires go where you want. I re-taped them to look OEM. You also have to trim some of the plastic supports on the back of the interior trim exactly where the MPM is and along the rear body panel to accommodate the extra wires.

looks like other members chimed in well and you got things sorted, but for future reference, try using the new forum feature under the "Tools" menu in the top nav bar:

Tools>TSB & Recalls ( https://5series.net/forums/alldata.p...2012/makeid=6/ )

The thread was made before the forum change but having the TSB's now readily available is definitely a nice addition.

Just noticed that you only get a partial TSB unless you pay for a subscription. Nice to have the list I guess.
