My Ride: '07 manual M5 Black/Black/Tinted, HUD, Heated Rear Seats, Logic 7, iPod interface
Default

I requested my cd-charger returned to me after installing the i-pod interface. Next thing I do - put the magazine back unto the changer, it clicks, and cds are stuck. (duh, no power!)
Is there a way to retreive the magazine without a trip to the dealer?

Thank you

Usually not. If the car is still under warranty, I wouldn't mess with it and let them handle it unless you don't trust them or it is inconvienient. Good luck

No, what I think he means is that he put the CD magazine into the changer after it had been uninstalled from his car.

If you don't want to take a trip to the dealer, you could find the CD changer wiring harness in your trunk and plug it in to the changer to give it power temporarily. Then hit eject.

Oh, I get it now. You have the correct solution.

So there's a cd changer wire harness in the trunk as well ? My cd changer was behind the glovebox, same place as the ipod interface...either way, if you don't find it in the trunk, it'll be in behind a cover in the rear of the glovebox !

Thanks to everyone who responded. Where in the trunk should I look for the harness?

It's not in the trunk -- andy545 is correct that it's located way in the back of the glovebox (where the changer is usually mounted).

I don't remember hearing anyone with a factor cd changer mounted in the trunk (at least not with the E60...)
