My Ride: 2005 545i Sport, Premium, Logic 7, Jet Black, Black Leather, M-Aero Kit, 15% (very dark) Tint, Eichbach Lowering Springs, Red Brake Calipers, Radenergie R-10's, Michelin PilotSport2 in 245/35/20 and 285/30/20, Rolled Fenders, and a nifty Graco Baby Car Seat. Next Up: Xenon fogs, Eisemann Exhaust, iPod Interface, Comfort Seats.

My seats look like junk- spotty patches. I am told that the stuff BMW uses to coat them has come off, and that I should run, not walk, to the dealer for them to correct it. On top of that, my dash and interior trim look brownish red, not black. I haev 15% tint and park in a garage day and night- so it's not sun fading.

Anyone have any similar isses?

I haven't had that problem either, but I would def bring it to the dealers attention.

Dealer for a check up, yes. But, have you maintained your interior properly? My recommendation, given from a true interior guru, is to use only Mequier's (sp?) leather wipes on all leather and vinyl interior pieces. Never use something like Armoral--drys out vinyl irrepairably over time. There also may be other leather wipes that are satisfactory, but my guru said he was certain about the quality of the Mequier's wipes.

If you are certain that the brownish red is not a color reflection of the tint, than take it to the dealership. Keep their loaner until they fix it. I mean it. That goes the same for the sunroof tilt problem. It is definitely an assembly issue with the sunroof. Oh, and make sure they don't scratch your clearcoat while fixing the sunroof. I feel your pain.

I've tried cleaning and conditioning the seats with Lexol.
I've tried 303 Aerospace Protectant on the seats and dash.
I've tried woolite diluted 1:6 with water on the seats and dash.
Nothing has worked.
Today I am trying Zaino Z9 and Z10 on the seats, and Meguiar's #40 on the dash and interior trim.
If that doesn't work, I will try leatherique on the seats.

If none of those make enough of a difference, I'll take it to the dealership and get stuff replaced.

That hasn't happened to me. First time I've heard of that particular problem. I agree, hot tail it back to your dealer and find some answers. If you wait too long you get that old answer"its not a dealer problem" Good luck.
